

Clove Hitch on a Tree Activity
This Activity is meant for Scouts BSA, Webelos scouts.
Required:
25 foot rope
a tree
a tree
Notes:
If you have enough trees, you can have all patrols do it at once as a competition. Otherwise, do it as a teamwork exercise.
Instructions:
Patrol ties a clove hitch around a tree without coming within 5 feet of the tree.

Hi this sounds like fun. How does this work? My guess you would
need teamwork to complete the task. e.g. scouts will be at key
positions around the tree and they would toss the rope to each
other and make the knot? if this was a competition, do you use
time to select a winner.

first to succeed is the winner.
