| This Minute is meant for Boy Scouts. Decide for yourself if it is appropriate for your younger scouts or not. | |
| Required: | sheet of butcher paper marker tape |
| Script: | Tape a sheet of butcher paper on the wall, with the top at least 9 feet high. Ask a few different scouts to reach as high as they can on the sheet, without jumping, and make a mark with the marker. Mention that we can usually do better than our first effort. These scouts all did their best effort, but let's see if they can do any better. Ask each scout to come back up and see if they can't reach just a bit higher. (they will do a touch better.) So, what does this show?
